Canterbury Department Store
Measured Survey
Client Brief
DMP were contacted by a large Commercial Consultancy who has offices in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh, to undertake a detailed Measured Survey.
Acting on behalf of the Client the survey was to be utilised for the proposed acquisition of the property comprised of a National Retailer. Situated in the middle of the Canterbury shopping district.
DMP were instructed to undertake the survey of the occupied three-storey retail property.
Circumstances were that the property was of interest to the prospective new freeholder, thus a timely turnaround of the survey report and prepared drawings was sought.
The DMP Solution
DMP’s team is trained to provide data and drawings of the highest quality, using the latest technology, methods and continual training via the RICS including Standard Measurement Practice. These skills were particularly called upon for this project.
The team dedicated themselves to undertake the detailed survey of all elements of the building including external areas and footprint of the building.
Our in-house Architectural Technicians developed the ‘as-existing’ drawings consolidating data and site measurements gathered by the DMP surveyors.
The survey and ‘as-existing’ drawings were then turned around in a timely manner and finalised. This included an Area Management Report for the new prospective freeholder.
