DMP Attend Hospice in the Weald
Black Tie Fundraising Gala Dinner
Last week the DMP team attended the much anticipated Hospice in the Weald Gala Dinner & Dance.
The well attended fund raising event was to celebrate the launch of Hospice in the Weald for Children & Young People Service.
This new valuable children’s service will provide care and support to children and their families in three ways:
Home Visits – to reduce trips to hospital and care for children in the familiar surroundings.
Emotional Support – counselling support for the whole family to help them cope with the impact of diagnosis and illness.
Time to Play – the new children’s centre will hold daily activities for children, providing safe and local space.
The fantastic fund raising evening was held in the ground of Tonbridge School and compered by former English cricketer Chris Cowdrey. The exciting evening was packed with a programme of events, with the main aim to raise as much money as possible.
On the evening DMP is delighted to have contributed £3,000.00 towards the incredible grand total of over £52,000.00 raised!
There is still further valuable funds to raise. If you would like to donate, contact www.hospiceintheweald.org.uk
