DMP have recently come to the rescue of a client in Pembury where their property had become damaged following works to a neighbouring property. The works involving a loft conversion had caused damage to the our clients property including damage to a conservatory roof.
Upon further investigation it was evident the neighbouring owner had not served Party Wall Notice in connection with the proposed works which were near completion.
The client approached DMP to investigate the legal position with respect Party Wall Act 1996. In addition, DMP to inspect the damage to the party wall within the loft space, roof junction and conservatory roof.
Acting quickly, DMPs Party Wall Surveyors achieved a detailed inspection and comprehensive report with supporting photographic schedule. With time of the essence, issued to the client with a full narrative. Who in turn, cascade to the adjoining owners and their Builder in order remediation works can be undertaken.
