A building on the same footprint to Wordsworth House is on historic mapping from mid-19th century. Therefore, the property dates back to 1800’s within changes in the more recent centuries (19th / 20th / 21st).
Interestingly, the property is listed as ‘Premises occupied by Duette, Hair Stylists) in terms of historic status listings.
The listing description records the building’s original function as a shop along the High Street. The site is located within the Medieval market village of Ticehurst. Approximately 140 metres north east of the 14th century Parish Church of St Mary.
The building lies within the Ticehurst Conservation Area and is located within the development boundary for Ticehurst and within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Now extensively sensitively redeveloped into a single dwelling house purchased by our client who requested a full building survey & Acquisition report.
