Arboriculture Report carried out – DMP “WIN” Planning Appeal
DMP have successfully WON a planning appeal for the construction of a new detached garage in Tunbridge Wells.
In detail, the original planning was rejected due to the concerns of the garage being located closely to a large beautiful beech tree. The tree in question was a key point of the original application and formed a discussion of how we could protect the tree. The client was keen to protect the tree. A substantial arbiocultural report had been undertaken to ensure construction methods were specified to protect the tree.
To point out, arboriculture covers the cultivation management and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants. The science of arboriculture studies how these plants grow and respond to cultural practices and to their environment. A report also includes the age of the tree, health and potential growth in the designated area.
In addition, the planning inspectorate agreed with our comments and see no concern in regards to the garage itself. We will submit further information regarding protection of the tree. We look forward to working with the local authority to agree the best way forward.
