Conservation and Heritage

The purchase of and use of a listed property requires a specialist approach as the building is recorded on a national register as a property of architectural or historical importance or interest. DMP have worked on a number of listed buildings requiring an approach which duly keeps the historic importance of the building whilst using modern or traditional methods of construction to protect and extend the life of the property. Liaison with the local conservation officers and working closely with master builders are requirements which ensure that a high quality end product is achieved.

DMP have worked with retailers and individual listed building property owners across London and the South East to re-instate fire damaged buildings and upgrade residential properties to create listed buildings which will stand the test of time and protect the heritage of magnificent buildings the UK has to offer.

When a client is developing a healthcare facility DMP is able to advise on the requirements of the building in order that it achieves its CQC certification. Healthcare facilities require maximum ease of use for the patient whilst maintaining the highest level of hygiene and air transfer, meaning that the design of a healthcare facility becomes a multi-layered plan. DMP are able to understand the requirements of healthcare building users, which includes multi-functional facilities, and are able to create a building which works as well mechanically as it does enticingly for the patient.
