Our dynamic team have been carefully appointed to ensure we have the optimum industry experience, skills and technical expertise. Each valued member of staff is focused on delivering quality and professional standards on every project. Meet some of the team below;
John studied at Anglian Ruskin University achieving a BSc Hons in Architecture in 2003. Moving on to complete a post graduate building surveying program at University College of Estate Management.
John has been with DMP since 2004 and successfully acquired the business becoming Managing Partner in 2013.
John has a clear vision for DMP and is excited to be able to showcase this with the launch of a new company identity, with the principles of leading the industry by example, succinct reporting, co-ordinated client management, outstanding communication and a one stop shop for service.
When John is not hard at work he enjoys spending time walking his three golden retrievers, which keeps him nice and fit, as usually he is the one left retrieving the ball!
Mike has a background in human resources, training and quality assurance for the past 15 years, providing a bespoke consultancy service to independent companies across the South East.
Mike joined the DMP family as Partner in 2014 and has been involved in a number of strategic projects, specialising in HR and recruitment. Mike successfully completed an ILM Management L3 qualification in 2013 and has recently obtained his TAQA L4 award (Training Assessment Quality Assurance) in 2016, enabled DMP to recruit and train new business apprentices.
In his spare time Mike likes to play super sleuth and detective, and often hosts murder mystery whodunit parties.
Ben studied Interior Architecture at Lincoln University, graduating in 2007 achieving an honours degree. He then went on to study a post graduate Building Surveying diploma at London Southbank University.
Since then, Ben has join the DMP family as a Building Surveyor, where he has been making a fantastic name for himself with existing and new clients alike. Ben has worked within the industry for over 12 years and has now recently achieved his Chartership with RICS – to attain MRICS status. In addition, Ben is an official RICS APC Mentor, offering guidance to other candidates looking to achieve an accreditation.
Developing properties has been a personal interest of Bens, and having completed a number of projects, he currently spends his spare time restoring a beautiful period property.
Sam joined the DMP family early in 2016 and since has made a significant contribution.
Sam comes to us having studied International Development at the University of Birmingham and with a professional background in project management and logistics.
Sam will begin his MSc in Building Surveying in September which shall run in unison with him being part of the surveying department.
In his spare time Sam enjoys outside activities, and has previously conquered reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. DMP is now enjoying a soaring and great partnership to new heights.
Angela joined us from a rather “Thespian” background. She originally was an Actor by trade from the age of four. She thrived on singing and dancing in shows, up until when she went to University where Angela took a “back-stage” roll in the Industry. Angela achieved a 2:1 BA Honors degree in Drama at the University of Hull, modules including Publicity, Production Management and Design.
Angela has joined DMP bringing a wealth of Oscar nominated skills to the team, including exceptional business administration, impeccable customer service and strong IT support. Angela has a passion for anything IT and is also responsible for our digital social media and writing interesting web content.
We are excited to welcome Angela to the DMP family and to see how this “leading lady” career takes off with a creative “blockbuster”.
Claudine joins us bringing a wealth of finance and customer service experience having worked in the industry for many years. Claudine's key responsibility is the day to day financial management and reporting, including invoicing and accounts payable.
In her spare time Claudine enjoys keeping fit and active with regular Yogo and fitness classes. All this exercise allows her to indulge in her guilty pleasures, which is; boiled marrow covered in a cheese sauce, Or a Bhuna curry, Or spaghetti bolognese with mature cheese on top!.... choices, choices, choices, this is making our mouth water!
Claudine enjoys playing super sleuth and detective while reading Sherlock Holmes. We're sure these talents will be put to good use while working with our "facts & figures!"
Claudine prides herself on her attention to detail, conscientious nature and being a fast learner. These are the perfect "ingredients" for a successful partnership.

Kat has been working within the finance sector for over 10 years and has been part of the DMP family since 2013. Katherine’s key responsibility is for financial accountancy and payroll.
Outside of work Kat succeeds in ‘balancing the book’s with looking after two children and also manages to find time to indulge in the silver screen.
Jordan started her exciting career working for a national trade company where she learnt the art of recruiting new trade members through product knowledge and impeccable customer service skills. She then embarked on a range of studies including Business Administration, Project Design and a level 4 in Fashion Buying and Merchandising, graduating in 2017.
Jordan has a strong background and zest in editorial content writing and marketing, which is now being teamed with her expertise in social media and website management.
Jordan proudly joins the DMP family as Website Administrator to advance our online presence following on from the successful company re-brand in 2016.
Interesting Jordan is fluent in Spanish having being schooled in the Mediterranean. We now look to our own Senorita to create a flamenco with our online brand.

Douglas Moat Practice were instructed following the summer riots of 2011. The forthcoming works involved the successful reinstatement of mid terraced mixed use property following complete collapse, restoration of a pub and office building and general repairs to high street retail units.
Douglas Moat Practice had a piece of the historical action delivering up the conversion of the ‘Red-Brick Co-Op’ building in Woolwich into 120 bedroom hotel in readiness for the Italian Equestrian team stay for the Summer 2012 Olympics.
Historic Royal Victoria House was part of this acquisition, where Queen Victoria frequented.
Douglas Moat Practice were appointed to assist obtaining a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, and administer the contract for restoration.
Planning obtained for prestigious land registry building in Tunbridge Wells, known as Forest Court. Comprehensive planning phases were undertaken to achieve granted planning permission for 40,000 sq ft extension, car parking and landscaping.
Douglas Moat Practice leading the way with new Permitted Development rights, allowing office space to be converted to residential. To date, overseeing and supporting schemes being completed in; Royal Borough of Greenwich, Wandsworth Borough Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Adur & Worthing Council, Lewes District Council and Maidstone Borough Council, just to name a few.
Acting for large property Investment Company, Douglas Moat Practice were lead Architect for the redevelopment of a new 32,000 sq ft retail store, which was pre let to TK Maxx and included in the scheme was an additional 5,000 sq of retail space.
Douglas Moat Practice design wins major shop front accolade. John Whitlock accepted the award from the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells at the Civic Society award ceremony. The design has been chosen by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council as the blue print for which all other conservation shop fronts should emulate in the vicinity of the Opera House.
Following a devastating fire in 2013, Douglas Moat Practice managed the complex stages of the historic reinstatement of Webbs of Tenderden in the Jewel of the Weald.
Unveiled 2016, DMP made significant contribution securing complex planning for the restoration of Grade 2* listed Argos Hill Windmill, East Sussex, dating from 1835.
