DMP undertake Dilapidations Survey for Retail Property in the town of Lewes, East Sussex

DMP have undertaken a Dilapidations Survey for a Landlord on a Grade II listed, end of terrace, retail property which had a main lessee and sub-lessee in occupation, in the beautiful country town of Lewes, East Sussex.

A schedule has been prepared taking into account the different working practices of the two businesses and how an exit strategy would need to be programmed in order to fulfil the requirements of the main Lessee’s repair covenants.

The schedule took into account the potential that the sub-lessee, of the upper floor to the property, may take on a new individual lease. Therefore works to this area may prove as no loss to the Landlord though may need to be removed from the Dilapidation negotiations with the head-lessee.
