DMP were instructed to advise a large property investment company on the potential of converting a former office space into residential apartments. The investment company have a history of updating and modernising buildings which form significant sections of the local high streets in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Upgrading these properties to a good standard and exposing the potential of an entire site.
DMP were asked to carry out a Schedule of Dilapidations on behalf of a long-existing client, who owns and manages a number of commercial properties as part of a portfolio. The property, requiring the schedule, was to be re-let. DMP were able to advise on future maintenance requirements and works undertaken by the current tenant, aiming to enhance this property's letting potential.
DMP were instructed by a Client, a large investment company, to consider the conversion of self contained offices in South Street, Chichester. This had followed on from the existing tenant relocating into the adjoining open plan office space.
“DMP have worked with our school for a number of years and on a number of projects. The largest of these was the creation of a three-story building which was created over a disused swimming pool on the school site. Throughout the build we found lead architect, John Whitlock, to be most helpful in facilitating the needs of the school with regards to the making of an inspirational learning environment for students. This was a difficult build, not only due to the position, but also to the different types of buildings that are present on site.It was therefore important that these be taken into account when designing. Our oldest building dates from the 1930', whilst the newest from the 1990's. The achieved building compliments existing structures as well as providing students with an uplifting education. DMP ensured that the project was finished on time, and that there were no budgetary surprises. They took into account the health and safety issues of the students in a busy school whilst setting up the building site. Just as important too, was the way that the builders were engaged and worked positively ensuring as little inconvenience as possible. As a consequence I would have no hesitation in recommending DMP to other schools and businesses. ”
